David Armstrong, Administrator
Dave Armstrong has served as the Chief Executive Officer of Alternatives, Inc. since its opening in June of 1980. Prior to this he worked as a case manager at the Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch and as Home Treatment Coordinator for the Centers for Youth and Achievement in Tucson. Dave holds a B.A. in psychology from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine.

Betty Ann Roan, Deputy Administrator
Betty Ann has been employed by Alternatives, Inc. since February, 1988. She has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and has been licensed as an Addictions Counselor since 1985. She is the Director of Alpha House men's Pre-release and the Jail Alternatives Programs in Yellowstone, Stillwater, and Carbon Counties. Betty Ann has overseen the development of Alternatives' Intensive Treatment Module which provides a broad range of treatment services to residential clients and clients referred by the courts of limited jurisdiction. Her efforts in the field of Partner Family Member Assault have created a very effective Program that provides both treatment and supervision to offenders. She is a native of Montana.

Jan Begger, Director-Passages
Jan began her career at Alternatives, Inc in July, 1988. She has worked in all aspects of the program including the positions of Jail Alternative Supervisor and Program Supervisor. In September 2005, she began working under a contract with the Department of Corrections to provide assessment and placement services for females sentenced to the department in what was the BASC Program at the Montana Women’s Prison. This position and experience helped lay the groundwork for the current Passages Assessment, Sanction, and Revocation (ASRC) Program, and she began working as Director of the Passages Program in November, 2006. Jan has a BS degree in Human Services from Eastern Montana College (MSU-B), is a Licensed Addictions Counselor and holds a Masters Degree in Management from the University of Mary.

Stacey Horsfall, Director of Finance
Stacey began her service with Alternatives, Inc. in April 2008. She is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Management Accountant. For most of her career, Stacey has worked in the not for profit industry either as a public accounting auditor at Deloitte and Touche or as a financial management executive. She has considerable experience in federal and state contracts. Although, Stacey has lived and worked in North Carolina, Alaska and Florida, she is a native of Montana.

Gwen Bryant, Executive Assistant
Gwen Bryant began working for Alternatives, Inc. in 1998. She has held the positions of Misdemeanor Probation Office Manager and Lead Secretary, and is currently the Executive Assistant for the agency. She has an Associates Degree in Legal Administrative Management. Gwen and her husband Greg have one son and two daughters.

Georgiann Deckard, Administrative Assistant
Georgiann has been working at Alternatives, Inc. since January, 2007. She attended Eastern Montana College (MSU-B) and Kinman Business University in Spokane, WA. She has worked for Gonzaga University, Office Manager for a doctor’s office and most recently as Contact Compliance Specialist for an alcohol and drug program. A native of Montana, Georgiann and her husband live on the same ranch in southern Stillwater County where she was born and raised.
