Darren Zent, Program Supervisor
Darren returned to Alternatives, Inc. as the Operations Supervisor in 2008. He previously worked for Alternatives from 1996 to 1998 as the Job Development Coordinator and Program Supervisor. He has over 14 years experience in corrections including time at the Yellowstone County Detention Facility and with the Colorado Department of Corrections. He also has experience in management and social work. He has a BA in Sociology and Spanish from Eastern Montana College/MSU-B and loves the field of corrections. He is thrilled to be "home" again at Alternatives.

Anton Grier, Training Officer
Anton Grier was born in Pensacola, Florida and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. At the age of 21 he joined the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman and served with the Marines in Okinawa, Japan and San Diego, California. After serving five years in the Navy, Anton relocated to Billings, Montana with his wife, two kids, and Great Dane. Before joining Alternatives, Inc. Anton was the Sports Director at the Billings Family YMCA. He was then hired in March, 2008 as the Recreation Manager at Alternatives, Inc., eventually moving to the position CA-V Training Officer later that year, then to Agency Training Officer in 2009. When not at work, Anton enjoys cheering on his Georgia Bulldogs and spending time with family.

Mick Charvat, Treatment Supervisor
Mick Charvat was raised in Denton, Montana and has lived in Billings since. He attended Eastern Montana College and began his career in chemical dependency treatment in 1987, working as an Intensive Outpatient Counselor and a residential counselor. Mick became a Licensed Addictions Counselor in 1991 and has been with Alternatives since 1997. He has worked in the Stillwater, Carbon, and Musselshell county jail alternative offices. Mick became Lead Licensed Addictions Counselor in 2008 and currently is the Treatment Supervisor at Alpha House. He has two daughters and five grandchildren who, along with grandpa, can be found boating at the Bighorn Canyon in the summer time.
